May Long Weekend pt.2

The second day of our marvelous adventure.

We started off with a shoot in this abandonned car about a fifteen minute walk from her cabin. There I was able to take one of Madi's favourite photographs (see the portrait below, under "the results"). I believe I did Gillian's makeup and hair for this one and Madi did her own makeup of course.

The second shoot of the day was where Gillian and I had to venture into the horrid water. I had my waterproof Olympus camera with me, along with prescription glasses and Gillian basically was my blind model. I think only a couple photographs turned out because every time we'd step there would be silt coming out from the bottom and it would clear up the entire underwater. To add to that we couldn't get much deeper because it was so cold out. We were going to do one with Madi, but we ended up doing that the next day and not underwater.
After some hot chocolate we did the Repunzel idea I've had for awhile, meaning ever since Madi told me they had a tree house out there. It took me a good fifteen minutes to braid all her hair in into one long braid, I ended up using all my hair extentions. Her little brother was our "prince charming" he was adorable. Gillian had to carry him because he didn't want to walk with bare feet.
Later, it became quite cloudy and I wanted to do a shoot with Gillian and this barb wire we had seen earlier on when we were going up to the car. So we went there and we also took a lamp with us, however it didn't shine because I guess it wasn't dark enough, so I didn't use it in many of the photographs.
That was basically the last shoot until later in the evening when it got dark and I shot Gillian with the Narnia looking lamp they had in their yard.

May Long Weekend pt.1

So this is part one of my grand adventure in BC, Canada with my two lovely friends Madi and Gillian. We were the for about three days, so I can tell you we did a lot of photoshoots. Many photos will be put up on my Flickr, but probably in a couple weeks or so.
When we got there I immediately wanted to get ready for photoshoots and I wanted do something in the water. I dressed Gillian and Madi up, but Madi did all the makeup. When we went down to the location to shoot her brother tagged along to watch.
The water was a bit nippy until you got used to it, and my film camera was non functional (though I figured it out later, so there will be some film photographs coming soon also!).
Then afterwards we did one in the woods, I was having a very "creme" day that day, because I kept dressing Madi in cremes. But for Gillian however I wanted something very hard, so we gave her nice thick defined eyebrows. We shot in the forest, because it was a nice forest, not something dinky, like where I live.
Last photoshoot we did for the day was something quite serene, it was during the sunset and I had Gillian and Madi go together on the dock with these undergarments you could say. It looked delightful.

Drawings from March 29th to Present

So basically these drawings from oldest to most recent. I'm sort of improving I think. Most of these were either drawn during my break at work, or after tests in class. I always forget to upload all my traditional art, I have so much more, but a lot of it is in my Art Class, or in my larger art sketchbook...I will eventually show you all. But for now, enjoy!

Photoshoot with Gillian

Today I did a photoshoot with Gillian. She came over around 4ish and we began with shooting. This shoot was completely spontaneous, I had no idea what I wanted to do, I just picked out some clothing she brought and just did the makeup and randomly decided where to shoot. So while I was doing her makeup I got grey eyeshadow over her nose, and I tried to cover it up with cover up but it just made her nose more grey. Hence the second photograph in the blog. Another little mishap that happened was I jammed the zipper in my dress, so she was stuck in it. We spend a good 30 minutes trying to unzip and trying to pull it off. In the end my mom and her mom had to unstitch the dress to get her out of it. It was quite unfortunate. However, other than that, I think the shoot turned out marvellously.

Photoshoot with Jaqueline

I did a small photoshoot with my dear friend Jaqueline. It was super simple and
nothing too complex was involved. As per usual we took some smoking pictures,
and we didn't get time to do all my ideas because my battery ran out. But no matter,
I'm sure we'll be doing another shoot sometime soon.

Photoshoot with Ariana & Madi

Today I did a photoshoot with Ariana and Madi. Madi was mainly my assistant for most of it, she did the makeup as well as helping with the reflectors (though we really didn't need them much today)...we have to practice with them more, because I still don't quite understand how it works.
Anyways I have a lot of behind-the-scenes for this shoot, so enjoy!
